1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Scout (“Service”), operated by Parallel Works LLC, a Maryland limited liability company (“Company”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Scout is an AI-powered job search assistant that helps users discover, save, and prepare job applications. The Service generates AI-tailored resumes, cover letters, and ATS compatibility scores to support your job search.

3. Accounts

To use Scout, you must sign in via Google OAuth. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Credits and Payments

Scout uses a credit-based system for its document generation features:

  • Credits are purchased as one-time payments at $1 per credit, with a minimum purchase of 5 credits and a maximum of 50 credits.
  • The maximum account balance is 50 credits at any time.
  • Credits do not expire.
  • Each credit generates a tailored resume, cover letter, ATS compatibility score, and outreach suggestions for one job.
  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Parallel Works LLC does not store your payment card details.

5. Refund Policy

  • Unused credits: You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if none of the credits from that purchase have been used. Contact support@scoutjobs.app to request a refund.
  • Partially used credits: Once any credit from a purchase has been redeemed, that entire purchase is non-refundable.
  • After 14 days: All purchases are final regardless of usage.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
  • Please contact us at support@scoutjobs.app before filing a bank dispute so we can resolve the issue directly.
